Introduction

The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has announced the Recruitment Examination for Group-A (Non-Faculty) posts. This examination is conducted to fill various vacancies across different departments at AIIMS, New Delhi, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Jhajjar, Haryana. The recruitment process includes an online application, a written examination, and an interview.

General Conditions

Examination Scheme

The selection process consists of three stages:

1. Written/CBT Examination

o   Total 200 objective-type questions

o   160 questions from the subject related to the post

o   40 questions on General English, Aptitude, and Awareness

o   Negative marking: 1/3rd for incorrect answers

o   Duration: 3 hours

2. Screening for eligibility verification

3. Interview (for shortlisted candidates)

o   Carries 50 marks

o   Candidates will be called in a 5:1 ratio for available vacancies

Job Positions and Qualifications

AIIMS New Delhi has announced vacancies for multiple positions under Group-A (Non-Faculty). Below are some of the key positions and their eligibility criteria:

1. Senior Biochemist

o   M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry/Biotechnology

o   5 years of research or clinical experience

2. Senior Chemist

o   Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmacology

o   5 years of research/teaching experience

3. Senior Technical Editor

o   Master’s degree in Science, Arts, or Business Management

o   5 years of experience in scientific journal editing

4. Medical Physicist

o   M.Sc. in Physics with a postgraduate diploma in medical physics

o   12 months of internship in a radiation therapy department

5. Veterinary Officer

o   Degree in Veterinary Science

o   2 years of experience in scientific breeding and care of laboratory animals

Guidelines for Filling the Application Form

1. Ensure all details are filled correctly, as corrections will only be allowed within the specified dates.

2. Candidates should upload a recent photograph, signature, and relevant certificates.

3. Ensure eligibility before applying, as applications will be rejected if found ineligible at any stage.

Rules for Scribes and Compensatory Time

• PwBD candidates with disabilities (more than 40%) are allowed to use a scribe.

• A compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour is allowed for eligible candidates.

• The scribe’s qualification must be one step below the minimum qualification required for the post.

Legal and Disciplinary Actions

Candidates found guilty of misconduct, including impersonation, submission of false documents, or unfair means during the examination, will face legal consequences, including debarment from future AIIMS examinations.
