To successfully pass each subject, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in both theory and practical examinations separately.
Candidates must maintain at least 80% attendance in theory and 90% attendance in practical sessions to be eligible for the examination. In exceptional cases, up to 5% attendance relaxation may be granted by the Principal of the College of Nursing.
If a student fails in either the theory or practical component of a subject, they must retake both the theory and practical exams for that subject.
A supplementary examination will be conducted within 45 days of the annual exam results. Students who do not pass a subject may continue into the second year but will not be permitted to appear for the second-year examination until they clear all first-year subjects.
Practical examinations will be conducted jointly by internal and external examiners.
